is the plastic bit called the bridge?

is the plastic bit with the grooves for the strings up near the tuning pegs called the bridge?

whatever its called, does anyone know where to go for a replacement one for a left handed encore strat copy

couldn't find a bits section on the site

    the bit your talking about is the nut (the bit between the fretboard and tuners that the strings run over), the bridge is the bit the strings attach to at the body end of the guitar

    as for replacing it, a new nut dosent cost much at all, but i think you would need to get a tech to replace it for you, first you need to get the old one off and fit the new one, then file some slots for the strings, for that you need a set of nt files and it can be very fiddley and easy to screw up

    try and talk to any local guitar shops, they should be able to fix it easily enough for you, prices depend on the tech and how long he would take to do it
