New strings

Im a proud owner of telecaster thinline and im looking for strings with great mids and warm tone.
I play mostly fingerstyle, so i need clear sound. What gauge would be best? I was thinking about these sets

Is it true that Elixir with nanoweb or polyweb don't have very clear tone?

Coated strings, to me, do sound a little unclearer. And I have really liked DR strings in the past. If memory serves, they did sound a bit warmer. Have you considered flatwounds?
I like the warmths of 11s, personally, and would go for them if you're not bending much.

I may try some of the above myself in the near future, but admit I've been using cheapo "Harley Benton" sets bought in bulk from Thomann.de for quite a while now - works out about a pound a set if you buy 24 at once. They sound/feel absolutely fine to me.

The bridge saddles on a Tele make a contribution to the tone, Stainless Steel being Zingy and brass having more warmth and possibly a softer attack.
Also the type of bridge plate will also have an interaction, so traditional 3 saddle, replacement 6 saddle, modified for a different PU etc all take a toll or add to the sound depending on your point of view.

I've had lots of luck with 10s by Pyramid (the blue nickle packets).

All very subjective of course, when I buy a new guitar I tend to go through a series of string gauges and makes until I hit on what suits me on that guitar. Sometimes I hit on the results quickly and other times it takes months as I only change if I need to.

Oo good point. One of my guitars recently showed it's true colours with a set of 11s. Love em! But not on other guitars. I like 9s on Strat-type things, 10s on others, but this is a tele-thing, 25" scale, and for some reason suits 11s. Might be me, might be science...maybe it's Maybeline.
