I have a Boss turbo distortion and it handles all the bases well. grungy, classic rock, metal. even *sigh* nu-metal.

But you said overdrive, so really this post is useless......or is it??? ;\)

So you're waiting for the nu-ClAsSicaL trend to come up?

Thousands of baggy-trousered d00ds with Nylon strungs....

Get the black liqorice - that's the same, but with an optional octave-drop!

And yes I have got that pedal and am now starting to use it :p

I have a black liquorice, saving for an Ashdown Fallen Angel, I barely use it anyway.

PM if he's interested, barely used, couple of hours at most.

i started with a little black coffee (i have seen larger, similar looking pedals. are they the same ?) but it fed back like a bugger and sounded a bit swirly to me (??)

am using a snarling dog now which is much better although a bit too crisp with a fender twin reverb

What about a Marshall Guv'nor 2... or more specifically, my Marshall Guv'nor 2?

    Not at all...
The Marshall Guv'nor is a fine pedal and the very limited my version is even finer.

(I think I got away with that!)

Doh! I'd forgotten the limited editions. I understand that the YOUR version is excellent too. \:\)

Perhaps even better... and very reasonably priced, with original box and manual. Apparently.

    (Ok, really pushing it now!)

If you can find one, I'd hearlily recomend the limited edition Herbie edition of the marshal guvnor 2 pedal. I doubt if anyone else will mention these pedals because they're very rare and sought after, so they don't ocme up for sale very often. ;\)

My Banzai Fireball 2 kicks sand in your rat's face.

Well, until Monday, when it'll be Herbie's Fireball 2.

The Boss DS-2 is good - it does both, and its got a turbo switch as well, which accentuates distortion as well.
