The May issue of Guitarist magazine features a star letter from our hero.
His brother, who is a maths teacher, says that the answer can be expressed by the formula n+1 where n is the number of guitars you have at present. I think most of us have seen this formula before. But his wife, also a maths teacher, reckons it's d-1, where d is divorce.
This means that d-1=n+1 and therefore d=n+2.
Thus, we won't arrive at d for divorce if we buy guitars one at a time!
My wife is a chartered accountant and just LOVE mathematics, so when I showed her this she laughed, and approved.
